How does the license work?

You pay once and keep it. No renewals, no subscriptions. Picmal activates on 2 Macs, Picmal Pro on 5, and you can move a license to another Mac whenever you want.

What is the difference between Picmal and Picmal Pro?

The app is identical, and so is the support: one person answers every email, and that person is me. Pro covers 5 Macs instead of 2.

Yes, for $30. Email support@picmal.app and I'll send you the link, then your existing key covers 5 Macs. The offer never expires, so starting with the cheaper plan is never the wrong call.

What happens if I get a new Mac?

Open Picmal on your old Mac, go to Picmal → Register license to deactivate, then activate on the new one. Takes about ten seconds.

How do I add a watermark to a video on my Mac?

Drop the video into Picmal, turn on the watermark and pick a logo or PNG to overlay, set where it sits and how strong it is, then click Convert. Picmal burns the watermark into the video as it encodes. It all runs on your Mac.

Can I use my own logo or a PNG as the watermark?

Yes. Point Picmal at any PNG, a transparent logo works best so only your mark shows and the video stays visible behind it. Picmal scales and places it onto every frame as it encodes.

Can I choose where the watermark goes and how visible it is?

Yes. Place the watermark using a 3x3 grid, so any corner, edge or the center, then dial in the margin from the edge and the opacity. Drop the opacity for a subtle mark or push it up for a bold, obvious stamp.

Can I watermark a whole batch of clips at once?

Yes. Drag in several clips or an entire folder and Picmal stamps the same watermark onto all of them in one pass, each saved as its own file. Save a preset and reuse it whenever you need it.

Is the watermark burned into the video permanently?

Yes. The watermark is baked into the frames as Picmal encodes, so it travels with the video wherever it goes and can't be toggled off by whoever watches it. Keep your original clip if you ever need a clean version.

How do I keep the watermark consistent across different video sizes?

Use scale to watermark, which sizes the mark as a percentage of the video height. One preset then looks the same on a small clip and a big one, so your branding stays consistent across a whole batch.
