By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not download, install, or use the Software.

About Picmal

Picmal is a native macOS application designed for seamless image format conversion and processing. The Software operates entirely locally on your device, ensuring complete privacy and requiring no internet connection for core functionality.

License Grant

Subject to compliance with these Terms, Cantimplora Studio, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the Software on devices you own or control
  • Use the Software for both personal and commercial purposes
  • Convert and process your own images using the Software's features
  • Receive software updates and improvements

Restrictions

You are expressly prohibited from:

  • Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code
  • Distribution: Redistributing, sublicensing, renting, or leasing the Software
  • Modification: Removing or altering copyright notices, proprietary markings, or licensing information
  • Circumvention: Bypassing any licensing restrictions or usage limitations
  • Illegal Use: Using the Software for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws

Privacy and Data Processing

Complete Local Processing: Picmal processes all images entirely on your device. No images, metadata, or personal information is ever transmitted to our servers or third parties.

Website Analytics: Our marketing website (picmal.app) uses Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly website analytics. This service operates separately from the Picmal application and does not affect your image processing privacy.

Refund Policy

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: We offer a 14-day refund policy for all Picmal purchases. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase date.

Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • Timeframe: Request must be made within 14 days of the purchase date
  • First Purchase: The refund policy applies to your initial purchase only
  • Reason: While not required, we appreciate feedback about why Picmal didn't meet your expectations

  • You must uninstall the Software from all devices

  • Support: Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis through our official channels
  • No Obligation: While we strive to maintain and improve Picmal, we are not obligated to provide updates indefinitely

Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: Cantimplora Studio, LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in Picmal
  • Your Content: You retain full ownership of all images processed by the Software
  • Trademarks: "Picmal" and related marks are trademarks of Cantimplora Studio, LLC

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY: Fitness for commercial use or sale
  • FITNESS FOR PURPOSE: Suitability for your specific requirements
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT: Freedom from third-party intellectual property claims
  • ACCURACY: Precision of conversion results or processed images
  • RELIABILITY: Continuous, uninterrupted operation

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CANTIMPLORA STUDIO, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect Damages: Including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
  • Consequential Damages: Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Software
  • Incidental Damages: Costs of substitute software or services
  • Special Damages: Even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages

TOTAL LIABILITY: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.

Termination

  • Your Rights: You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the Software
  • Our Rights: We may terminate this license if you materially breach these Terms
  • Effect: Upon termination, you must cease all use and delete all copies of the Software
  • Survival: Sections regarding liability, disclaimers, and intellectual property survive termination

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the Software after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
