Contact

Everything about Picmal goes to support@picmal.app, and it reaches me, not a ticket queue.

I'm Alberto Gallego. I design Picmal, write the code, and answer the email. There's one address for all of it because there's one person behind all of it. I read everything and reply to almost everything, usually within a day or two on weekdays. If a week goes by with nothing, the mail went missing, so please send it again.

Picmal runs entirely on your own Mac, so I can't see your files, your queue, or anything that happened on your machine. That means the details you put in the email are all I have to work with. The more specific you are, the shorter the conversation.

What to write about

Support and bugs

Something crashed, a file came out wrong, or a format won't open. Tell me your macOS version, the Picmal version (Picmal > About), and what the file was. A screenshot of the queue helps more than anything else.

Licenses and refunds

Lost key, a Mac you need to deactivate, an upgrade to more Macs, or a refund inside 14 days. Send the email address you bought with and I'll find the order. Most of it you can also do yourself in the license portal.

Feature requests

A good number of Picmal's features exist because somebody emailed to ask. Describe the job you're trying to finish rather than the button you want, and it usually ends up in a release.

Press and business

Reviews, bundles, affiliate questions, education licenses for a lab or a classroom. Say what you need and I'll answer myself. There's no PR desk in between.

Before you write

A lot of questions already have an answer written down. The FAQ and troubleshooting page covers the common ones, the docs explain every setting, and the license page has the self-serve portal for activating and deactivating Macs. The changelog is worth a look too, since a fair number of bugs are already fixed in a newer version.

Writing about Picmal? The press kit has logos and screenshots. There's an affiliate program at 30% commission, and student pricing at 40% off. More about the studio on the about page.

The legal fine print lives in the terms and the privacy policy. Short version of the second one: Picmal processes your files on your own Mac, so there's nothing for me to collect.
